A 100-year-old tea-planter's bungalow at about 5,000 ft on a working estate above Valparai, run as a plantation homestay. It deliberately has no TV, AC or pool. Instead it offers valley-facing verandas, a library of estate history, guided walks for wildlife and birding, and home-cooked meals included in the tariff.
